General procurement notice Programme to Improve Accessibility and Connectivity in Cross-border Economic Basins– (phase 1) Ngoura Ii- Yokadouma Road Development
Development works: (i) paving of the Carrefour Kwelle (Ngora II) – Yokadouma (KP 156+000) section, including the implementation of ESMP measures, (ii) access and connectivity tracks in agricultural production basins, and (iii) road systems (asphalt surfacing and paving) including parking areas in Batouri and Yokadouma, Environmental restoration works (tree planting and other ESMP measures), Construction and rehabilitation of agricultural centres, storage facilities and authorised collection hubs, including the development of seed nurseries and cocoa wood storage yard, Fencing works for schools along the corridor and in Yokadouma sub-divisional office , Construction of two timber traceability checkpoints, including the development of nurseries with seedling supply and the rehabilitation of sustainable community forests, Rehabilitation and fitting out of the premises with a view to operationalise both the road accident database and the comprehensive road network database, including provisioning of necessary office furnishings.
This Project Has the Following Main Objectives:
the Overall Objective of the Programme is to Improve Internal and External Connectivity, Stimulate Private Investment, and Promote Industrialisation in Promising Local and Regional Value Chains.*
specifically, the Project Aims to Improve the Level of Service and Logistics Performance on National Road No. 10, Particularly Along the Batouri – Ngoura Ii – Yokadouma – Moloundou – Congo Border Road (450 Km). |
