General procurement notice for Gender Transformative Climate Resilience Initiatives for Malawi and Mozambique.
a. Enhanced women’s leadership capabilities in gender transformative climate initiatives in targeted
communities, cities and districts.
b. Improved participation of women groups related to climate resilience governance at all levels.
c. Improved skills in planning, budgeting, implementation and oversight of initiatives in Chokwe
and Zomba in Mozambique and Malawi respectively.
d. Diversified economic and entrepreneurship capabilities for women and youth groups.
The principal objectives of this project are to: increase realization of rights among women, men and youth as a foundation for gender-transformative, low carbon and climate resilient development in Zomba Malawi and Chokwe Mozambique. Specifically, the project seeks to a. Increase leadership of women in community-level, national and international climate change negotiations. b. Improve delivery of services in Zomba Malawi and Chokwe Mozambique. c. Increase involvement by women and youth in eco-friendly economic enterprises in Zomba and Chokwe Districts. 3.
