Tenders Are Invited for Regional West Africa Resilient Rice Value Chains Development Program – Reward Gambia
the Main Objective of Reward-gambia is to Reduce Importation of Rice By Increasing Competitive Local Rice Production, Improving Processing, Through Private-public Sector Driven Interventions Along the Rice Value Chain to Improve Nutrition and Food Security. the Reward-gambia Program Will Address Key Issues in the Following Critical Areas: Enhanced Access to Developed Land and Water Management Schemes, Seed and Mechanization Service Support, Rice Production Intensification, and Improved Processing/value Addition. the Program Will Be Implemented in the Seven Agricultural Regions of the Country: Central River Region-north (crrn), Central River Region-south (crrs), Upper River Region (urr), Lower River Region (lrr), North Bank Region (nbr), West Coast Region (wcr) and Urban Directorates. the Total Direct Beneficiaries of the Reward Will Be About 8,000 Households and 15, 000 People Indirectly Out of Which About 40% Will Be Youth and Women. |
