The Air Traffic & Navigation Services SOC Ltd (reg. no. 1993/004150/06) invites proposals from service providers to provide upgrade and reconfigure the Collaborative Advanced Air Traffic System (CAATS) Air Traffic Management (ATM) hardware. The CAATS programme was initiated in 2013 to replace the SAAATS (South African Advanced Air Traffic System) Eurocat-X ATM system. The CAATS hardware comprises of commercially off the shelf hardware with a life-span of 3 - 5 years, even though the CAATS ATM system has a design life of 15 years. |
