Request for quotation for Rehabilitation of 20 wells in As-Eyla, Dikhil, Project: Rising Djibouti.
OBJECT
This document specifies the services to be carried out within the framework of the construction of a standard traditional well within the framework of UNDP projects. According to the standards in force in the Republic of Djibouti.
This document also aims to define the materials and equipment to be used during the construction of the hydraulic structure, according to the technical requirements contained in this document.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES
It is a question of realizing and/or rehabilitating a traditional well masonry in basalt rubble and/or breeze blocks located:
(i) in the full current of the wadi, the well consists of a collection column, a round defense wall around the collection column.
(ii) on the bank of the wadi, the well consists of a collection column, a round defense wall around the collection column and a long defense wall to prevent the rise of water. The length of the wall is variable according to the morphology of the ground, (to be determined during the identification of the project), the depth under the ground will be 10 m.
The construction technique used will be that of autonomous capture.
The contractor must also carry out the surface fittings which is an essential part of the well in terms of security and water quality because it protects it against possible sources of pollution (surface water, animals, etc.) and in ease of access and use.
They will be designed in such a way as to drain surface water out of the well, to limit animal access to the area around the well and the risk of falls.
The works include:
o Preparatory work / Site installation.
o Excavation of structures with storage of cuttings/backfill.
o Collection column and anti-flood protection walls built of basalt rubble and/or concrete block.
o Surface development: cover of the well equipped with a metal hatch, and staircase made of masonry stones.
o Pumping tests and water analysis.
o Disinfection of the structure.
