Request for proposition: International Consultancy for the Development of a National Strategy for Inclusive Education in BURUNDI.
PURPOSE OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
This consultation aims to solicit proposals for the selection of a consulting firm/office for the "International consultancy for the development of a national strategy for inclusive education in Burundi".
The specific objectives are:
This consultancy aims to eventually have a national strategic orientation framework for education
inclusive that responds to context, national policy and legal and administrative instruments and frameworks
education in force in Burundi.
More specifically, the firm will have to make a basic inventory and an analysis of the best options for the
effective consideration of inclusion in the education sector in Burundi, which takes into account both
questions of ACCESS, QUALITY as well as management and financing. It will then be a question of:
1. Define the outline of inclusive education making it possible to identify the profile and needs of the children concerned in the education sector;
2. Describe the national and international foundations of the national inclusive education strategy;
3. Analyze the issues and define the basic principles which should underlie the implementation of the strategy for the education sector;
4. Analyze and demonstrate how to promote the supply, demand and quality of inclusive education;
5. Propose an institutional mechanism for piloting and financing inclusive education with sustainable mechanisms for monitoring, taking charge of and supporting children with disabilities;
6. Provide practical guidance adapted to the context of Burundi for the strengthening and improvement of inclusive education in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
Make solid recommendations for effective implementation of the national inclusive education strategy in Burundi.
