Presentation of the Initiative On 22 July 2020, the "INLAB - economic empowerment and work inclusion of people with disabilities" AID 12144, which aims to strengthen institutional capacities in terms of inclusive public policies and enhance the resilience of people with disabilities. The initiative involves the launch of a tender to be entrusted to OSCs to be selected through a comparative procedure for the implementation of activities aimed at promoting the social and working inclusion of people with disability within the Sudanese labor market, for a maximum financeable amount equal to 1,100,000.00 euros. The intervention strategy involves a multi-sectoral approach aimed at addressing the different dimensions of disability and to promote the employment inclusion of people with disabilities through a process integral and holistic which includes the individual and social dimension of empowerment and whose ultimate goal it aims to be the development of human capital. As highlighted by the "European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030" of the European Commission, "work is a fundamental dimension for social integration and the independence of people with disabilities".
